Armalite M16A3
The M16A3 is the latest rendition of the standard issue M16 of the United States Armed Forces. The A3 features a detachable carry handle which, when removed, reveals a flat top Picatinny rail, ready for attachment of a scope, laser designator, or any number of other accessories. The length of the M16A3 gives it great accuracy as a field rifle, but sacrifices manuverability in the tighter confines of close quarter combat.
The airsoft version of the standard M16A3 is represented exceptionally by the G&G GR16-A3. The GR16-A3 features a finely detailed magnesium-alloy receiver which is both strong and light, and a composite high-capacity magazine based on the "thermold" design. The internals of the GR16-A3 come pre-upgraded with an M100 spring, steel gears, reinforced gearbox, reinforced polycarbonate piston, and an air seal nozzle. Out of the box, the gun fires at 330 feet per second while maintaining a rate of fire in excess of 900 rounds per minute with an 8.4v battery.

Armalite M16A2
The M16A2, the older brother of the M16A3, was originally issued into service with the US Armed Forces as an improved version of the M16A1. The A2 adds a much needed spent casing deflector as well as a rounded foregrip for increased comfort. The full auto firing mode from the A1 was removed in the A2, replaced with a three round "burst" mode which was thought to promote conservation of ammo. The adjustable rear sight was also improved through the inclusion of both windage and elevation adjustments.
The airsoft rendition of the M16A2 is represented superbly by the GR16-A2, featuring a finely detailed magnesium-alloy receiver and composite high capacity magazine based on the "thermold" design. As with the GR16-A3, the internals are pre-upgraded with an M100 spring, steel gears, reinforced gearbox, reinforced polycarbonate piston, and an air seal nozzle. Out of the box, the gun fires at 330 feet per second while maintaining a rate of fire in excess of 900 rounds per minute with an 8.4v battery.
